Hello, I am Castiel.

​Welcome to my website! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Development Economics in the School of Economics at Peking University. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at University of Washington in 2022.


​My recent research topics concern 1) social, economic, and environmental determinants of health, 2) poverty/inequality, 3) the economics of healthcare policies, and 4) human capital development. ​I'm also passionate about any policies aiming to promote economic development.

I am a development economist who applies analytical tools from public health and empirical industrial organization.
