Hello, I am Castiel. Welcome to my website! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Development Economics in the School of Economics at Peking University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington in 2022.


​My recent research topics concern:

1. Human capital, population, gender, and health in the field of labor economics;
2. Productivity, market structure, government procurement, and industrial policy in empirical industrial organization.

​I'm a labor/development economist who applies analytical tools from public health, environmental science, and urban science to analyze policies that promote human development and wellbeing.
